Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving was interesting. I did get to talk to all my friends and even my adopted parents in Fairbanks though. That made me very happy! I'm glad to know that they are all well. It is nice to be home with family too though for the first time in 5 years. Crazy! :-)

Last 4 hours of work

The last four hours of work at Pier 1 Imports was entertaining. Here's a picture of me there. Nice apron huh?
Well, I'm proud to say, I've learned a lot during the few weeks that I worked retail and I have some new friends to boot. Thank you Alison for the lessons, thank you Keith for the support, thank you Jun for the laughs (and the "quick credit"), thank you to Adena for being my wonder around the store buddy, thank you John and Justin for being sweet, and thank you to all my co-workers for all your friendliness. You were great people to work with. I now have a greater appreciation for the retail business.

Almost ready to go
I have now received my visa, my plane tickets, and my international student ID card. All I need now is a place to live in Australia. My relatives in Australia are helping with that. They're wonderful! I can't wait to see them. Actually I get to go to my cousin's wedding in March. Something that wasn't an option before I was accepted to go to school in Oz.
