New Year's Eve

Although all of us did not wake-up too late, we did not do much during the daylight hours either. Ada and her mom left at about 9am to head back to UMass for Ada to go to "winter" school and I waited around for Kris to show up. It was supper funny to stand at their doorway and say "goodbye" to them. It felt like I was the owner of the house.
When Kris finally showed-up at the house at about 10:30am or 11am and we ended up just hanging-out for a while. We had decided that both New Haven and New York were going to be a mess. I'm going to go back into New York on either Monday or Tuesday when it's not going to be such a mad house. I've found recently that I have little tolerance for HUGE crowds. Oh well.
Anyhow, we ended up taking the 2:45pm train to New York and just as we pulled into NYC it was time for me to take a train to New Jersey to meet my aunt and uncle. I was however in a corner of Times Square for about 30 seconds on New Years even (just because we had to leave the subway to get to the train station). That was enough for me, I think. :-)
When I got to NJ, my aunt and uncle picked me up and about half an hour later we went to a concert. It was an alright concert, I've see better, but I guess it's a big thing in Westfield. :-)
After the show we went to a cute little French restaurant that served all its dishes on plates with Chinese writing on them. Aunt Jane and Uncle Arthur said they think that might be so, because the owner's wife in from China. Too funny. :-) We got back to their place about 45 minutes before the ball dropped and chatted till it did. Aunt Jane really wanted to see Dick Clark's New Year's Eve show on TV, so we did. Dick Clark is doing really well for having a stroke a while ago. He even admitted to not being about to talk very well, but that he we very honored to be there.
MY NEW YEARS RESOLUTION:
Not too worry so much about what is planned and what has been unplanned. :-)

Hope everyone's New Year's celebration was wonderful! By the way, mom, Aunt Jane and Uncle Arthur want it to go in the record books that they are not old farts because they don't go to bed at 9pm after watching a New Years celebration in some other time zone. ;-)
