So, as I was writing this entry on the night of the 1st, the computer decided to give me the "blue screen of death". My Aunt Jane is still using Windows 98 because she knows how to use it and doesn't like change. I think it's time for a change though.
The first day of the new year was pretty uneventful. I awoke at about 11:30am went to the grocery store with my aunt Jane and then Uncle Arthur joined us to go into the wonderful little town of Westfield. It's quaint. We went to see the movie Narnia there. The theater was so small! The film was good though. Great special effects.
We spent the rest of the evening talking about film and theater. They are such cultured people when it comes to walking about the arts. I love it!! I hope that I'm still that cultured when I get older.
We had pork and cabbage for dinner. Aunt Jane says it's her family tradition to put a dime in the cabbage and whoever gets the dime in their serving will have wonderful luck that year. Interesting tradition. Jane got the dime.
